STRENGTH PROPERTIES: Extremely strong, hard, dense and resinous
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: Teak is one of the most valuable woods, but its use is limited by scarcity and high cost. Teak does not cause rust or corrosion when in contact with metal, and is highly acid resistant.
USES: Boats, furniture, flooring, decorative objects, and decorative veneer
COST: Very expensive
